Included are black scope caps and a leather and green web sling. The checkered stock is very nice with a thin forend, 14 7/8" LOP, overall handling marks are very light, black grip cap, black butt plate, and sling loops. The top of the receiver is stamped with "MADE IN AUSTRIA" - "Patent" - "Mannlicher" - "Schoenauer" - "M1903" and the serial number on the right side. The barrel, stock and receiver numbers match. Steyr, 1905' The serial number is something like 8915, no prefix or suffix. The blued barrel is mounted with a flip up "V" notch rear sight, brass bead front sight, and a Zeiss DIATAL-D 4X32 rifle scope with claw mounts. In place of a crest, its receiver ring has the German phrase 'Modell 1903'. This takedown carbine rifle sports a 20.7" barrel with a shiny bore and good rifling. (Though it has been known to take down full sized elephants!) It came out in a civilian model and was very popular among European hunters until Britain adopted new laws in 1963 that required a higher muzzle energy than the 1903 in 6.5X54 was capable of.
